Maine Redevelopment is hiring for the Executive Director position. The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of Maine Redevelopment and is responsible for the strategic, external, and organizational leadership of the authority. Reporting to the Board of Commissioners, the Executive Director advances Maine Redevelopment’s mission to break the cycle of disinvestment, deterioration, and delinquency that holds many Maine communities back — guiding statewide partnerships, capital strategy, legislative engagement, and program execution across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a first-of-its-kind statewide public authority at a pivotal moment in its growth. Maine Redevelopment has completed its foundational phase — programs are launched, partnerships are established, and an active pipeline of redevelopment projects is underway. The next Executive Director will build on that foundation, deepening the organization’s statewide impact while maintaining the operational rigor, public accountability, and mission alignment that define Maine Redevelopment’s culture. The role requires a leader who is equally comfortable navigating the State House, walking a contaminated mill site with a town manager, and presenting to a board of commissioners.
