What is a
Land Bank?

A land bank, like MRLBA, acquires, manages, and revitalizes abandoned properties, transforming them into thriving community assets and driving economic growth.

Building a Better Maine

Revitalizing blighted properties into thriving assets.

Our Mission

The Maine Redevelopment Land Bank Authority (MRLBA) stabilizes and rehabilitates blighted, abandoned, environmentally hazardous and functionally obsolete properties to create economic development opportunities and the stabilization of property values. The MRLBA creates vibrant, prosperous, and sustainable communities by facilitating and coordinating redevelopment in partnership with municipalities, public organizations, counties, and state agencies.

Our Vision

The Maine Redevelopment Land Bank Authority will be a proactive, trusted leader in the facilitation of the cleanup and redevelopment of blighted, abandoned, environmentally hazardous, and functionally obsolete properties within the State of Maine.
